This is the view from our window this morning.  This only a portion of all the trailers.  I don’t know if you can tell but it is pouring outside!  There was a meeting for the riders and they were told the ride was cancelled today.  Not because of the rain or the cold but because the rain was flooding and causing gravel on the toad.  So it was for the safety of the riders they cancelled.  They did have to show up at the Jamestown Harley Davidson  at 4:00 for show and stay until 6:15.

This is a bike that caught on fire after a fuel line break.  Two fire extinguishers used to put it out and repair and back on the road!

O

Patience at the show with some friends.  There were a lot of people who came out to visit.  Thankfully the rain had stopped and it was a great night!  A bonus visit was from my sister-in-law and nephew from Buffalo.  I later got to go for supper with Jay and his family.

We went to supper without Kevin and Mark s they were not hungry and went to run errands.  Jen found a spot suitable to Zachary’s palate (picky!).  It was a pizza/ sub place with a funky vibe.  The name was Group Ther-Hsppy.  Jen and I split a Fun Guys pizza. It was super thin with mushrooms, truffle oil, balsamic glaze and arugula.  I know sounds weird but it was delicious!! Zachary had cheese pizza (I told you he was picky!).  Jay had the fresh onion soup.

After supper we went to view the Lucille Ball statue.  Jamestown is her hometown!  Evidently this statue replaced the previous “scary” Lucy one in 2006.  She looks good to me!

Earlier today we got to go out to a local museum that was on Kevin’s list to see, the Glenn H.Curtiss museum in Hammondsport.  I learned what an amazing mechanical mind he was!! The man started with racing and making bicycles, moved into motorcycles and finally airplanes!!  He was Curtiss motorcycles and then Curtiss-Wright airplanes.

Evidently this plane was used to go coyote hunting in Nebraska!  The photo had coyotes all over the wings!!

Upon the recommendation of Pawnshop Paul, you remember Paul, he traveled with me last time!  He had us go to Olean, MY. We we to the Beef n Barrel for beef on wick with German potatoe salad.  Turns out it’s delicious roast beef on a kummelwick bun.  Thank you Paul for perfect lunch!

It seems every town has some statue to paint and decorate for their community.  Olean has squirrels, not sure the reason but they were all over!

Today’s selfie!

Tomorrow’s ride takes us to Bowling Green.
